It’s officially the spookiest time of the year! Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s extra important to ensure that this time around, there are way more treats than tricks. We’re here to offer some easy tips and tricks that make trick or treating possible this year!
Keep the trick or treating crew small
Encourage your children to trick or treat in smaller groups this year to reduce exposure. Try to keep the festivities to immediate family if possible!
Wear a mask
Encourage your children to wear a mask this Halloween! With all of the costume options, it’s easy for your children to incorporate masks into their Halloween costume–whether your little ones are ninjas or doctors, there are plenty of options that will keep things SAFE and SPOOKY!
Maintain distance
Ensuring distance from others outside your trick or treating group is key to reducing risk. Keep at least 6 feet of distance from other groups on the street or sidewalk. Also, encourage your children to wait for other groups to finish getting their candy before heading to ring the doorbell.
Avoid handing candy out directly
If you’re not out with the kids and are on candy duty this year, make sure you aren’t coming in contact with trick or treaters. Try leaving baggies of treats outside to encourage a grab-and-go Halloween!
